Alumni Weekend 3/10-12/2017

This semester's alumni weekend came along and it was an eventful time despite the poor weather.  It rained most of the weekend which caused the golf session to be less of a big event.  Some Delta Chi and Alumni braved the weather and still had a great time golfing!  The group later ate a great meal at Fitters restaurant.  The weekend came to an end with the group getting a memorial brick made for deceased brother of Delta Chi, Jason Barnes.  This is a tradition in UCM's Delta Chi chapter and the brick is meant as a tribute to the person it is created for.

Chapter Retreat at the Lake of the Ozarks

On February 10-11 around 30 members of the Delta Chi UCM chapter met near the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks for a retreat.  This retreat was ran by a group of our great Alumni.  This weekend taught us all new tips on how to better our chapter.  This new information was taught to us through lecture or team building activities.  We learned a lot of important information and we also had a great time.  Our fraternity is always seeking to improve and this weekend taught our members how to make Delta Chi a lifelong experience.

The 3rd Annual Delta Chi Date Night Auction

On February 7th, University of Central Missouri's Delta Chi chapter held their unique fundraiser known as the Date Night Auction.  This event has shown itself to be very successful at gathering people to donate funds for a good cause.  In this event, students affiliated with campus Greek life are auctioned off on stage and people in attendance can bid on them.  This is also a very entertaining spectacle and draws a large crowd of people to attend.   The proceeds for the event were given to The Jimmy V Foundation, an organization devoted to cancer research,  At the end of the night, Delta Chi had raised $1800.00 from auction bids alone!  An extra $900.00 was raised from the event's ticket sales.  This is a unique event ran by this chapter and it  raised $2700 dollars in one night for a great cause!
